The right business liability insurance is essential for protecting the company against existential risks, but start-ups and small and medium-sized mechatronics companies in particular find it difficult to obtain the best possible insurance solution on the market in terms of coverage and premiums.<\/p>

On behalf of the Austrian Federal Guild of Mechatronics Engineers, we negotiated a framework agreement with the Vienna Insurance Group as part of an extensive tender process on the insurance market.<\/p>

With the conclusion of this special framework agreement on public liability insurance, the Austrian Federal Guild of Mechatronics Engineers has achieved an important milestone in supporting its members.<\/p>

On the basis of this special framework agreement, all members of the guild throughout Austria are now entitled to conclude the contract through their insurance broker and to claim the insurance benefits contained therein.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The framework agreement applies to all occupational groups of mechatronics engineers, bicycle mechatronics engineers and craft businesses in the refrigeration & air conditioning technology sector. It ensures comprehensive insurability of the liability risk of guild members with a very wide-ranging coverage standard that would not be available to individual small businesses on the insurance market to this extent \u2013 and at a very favourable premium:

Generally speaking, various insurance sums are available (from EUR 1.5 million to EUR 5 million per claim); the premium is based on turnover and the choice of insurance sum, and can be calculated using a simple application system. The excess is a fixed amount of EUR 250.00 for each claim.

Therefore, the annual gross premium for a start-up or a company with a turnover of up to EUR 100,000.00 is only EUR 540.00 for a flat-rate sum insured of EUR 1.5 million!
